More Prizes

The prize list for this weekends race just got bigger with help from velocast , Sgriob-ruadh and from Tobermory Cat

The leading cycling podcast folk at Velocast are a mine of information and are going to be broadcasting from the races next season so look out for them from Flanders onwards.

Sgriob-ruadh are the leading cheesemakers on mull and their products are on sale throughout the island and beyond and the range of flavours are exceptional.

There will be a prize for the best picture of Tobermory Cat with a cyclocrosser, either email them to me or put them on Tobermory Cats Facebook page.

Look out for more tomorrow, the thaw is on and the mud is rising!!

This weekend

Its that time of the year again when SCX heads west and out to Glengorm castle for the annual mud bath known as Cross at the Castle. The course is pretty frozen at the moment but with milder weather forecast it should be fine, and muddy, for the weekend.

The Commissaires this weekend are Andrea Lockhart, John Green and Digby Sym.

The sponsers are Glengorm Castle, Cycle-Aid, Tobermory Cat, William Grant and Sons, Cazden recruitment and Ewan Baxter Photography

Those great folk who have helped out are Mull Magic Walking Tours, Nevis Cycles, Aqua Leisure LTD, Shand Cycles and Endura.

Due to a cancellation the Steadings flat is available for the weekend, get in touch with Glangorm Castle.

The cafe will be open on both days serving soups and rolls and espressos for the commentator.

2010 event

Okay dokay, the castle self catering is now FULL but the castle is doing B&B and a special cycling deal is 3 nights for the price of 2, phone Pam on 01688 302321.

The dinner dance at the Aros Hall in Tobermory is on again this year, I am not too sure we can match the cabaret of "bambi on ice " dancing by a certain VCMer but it will be entertaining all the same with DJ Ted spinning the tunes and the local restaurant providing the food and a welcome drink, all this for £20. If you want one of the limited supply of tickets then get in touch with Davie ASAP.
